OUR HISTORY
Starvac Systems Pty Ltd was established in Australia by co-founders, Lothar Künzel and Heidi Linder. With his expertise and global experience in the vacuum pump industry, Lothar saw an opportunity to re-think vacuum packaging machines for the meat industry, to dramatically improve operating efficiency in a much smaller footprint than the incumbent rotary systems.
After several years of research & development by engineers in Melbourne, Australia, the Mark I Jupiter high-speed vacuum packaging machine was built and installed at Wagstaff Food Services’ Garfield meat processing plant.
With support from the Australian Government’s Accelerating Commercialisation program, the Mark II Jupiter prototype was built in Melbourne and installed at a leading export lamb processor.
Starvac Systems GmbH design and engineering facilities and EMEA marketing headquarters were established at Lorrach, Germany.
US Patent granted for novel “Apparatus for Vacuum Sealing Products”.
Secured an arrangement with leading Italian vacuum packaging systems manufacturer, Saccardo Arturo Figli SRL, for exclusive distribution of their mid-range belt-chamber machines and ancillary equipment in Australia, New Zealand and other regions. https://saccardo.com/
